This policy explains how RenoTally uses cookies and similar technologies on renotally.co.uk.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies can store or read information from a browser for purposes such as remembering preferences or measuring how a website is used.

Essential cookies

These support functions requested by the visitor or needed to operate and secure the website. They include the technology used by Complianz to remember your consent choice. Essential cookies do not require consent and cannot be disabled through our banner, although your browser may allow you to block them.

Functional storage

When a visitor arrives via a contractor’s personal referral link, we use a small first-party value called rtl_partner, held in your browser’s session storage, to remember which contractor referred you. This lets us credit any quote request you go on to submit to that contractor. It is not shared with any third party, is not used for tracking or advertising, and is automatically cleared when you close your browser.

Analytics cookies

With your consent, Google Analytics helps us understand which pages are visited, how visitors reach RenoTally, what devices are used and how people interact with the site. Google Consent Mode and the WP Consent API communicate your choice to Google Site Kit. Analytics is not treated as essential and should not be activated without the appropriate consent.

Referral and advertising cookies

RenoTally may use clearly identified affiliate or trade-referral links from providers such as Awin or Bark. A provider may use cookies or similar technology to record that a visit or completed enquiry came from RenoTally. If non-essential referral or advertising tracking is introduced, it will be controlled by the consent settings. RenoTally does not currently rely on personalised advertising to provide its calculators.

Your choices

When the banner appears, you can choose Accept, Deny or View preferences. You can withdraw or change your choice later using the Manage consent control on the website. Refusing non-essential cookies does not prevent you from using the calculators.

You can also delete or block cookies through your browser. Blocking essential storage may affect site functions. For information about how personal information is used, see our Privacy Policy. Google also explains how it uses information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Updates

We may update this policy when the technologies or providers used by RenoTally change. The latest version and update date will remain on this page.
